Job summary

IRT SystemX in the Paris-Saclay area invites final-year MSc/engineering students in cybersecurity or AI to join a supervised research internship. You will work on the security of autonomous AI coding agents, under co-supervision from SystemX engineers and a researcher from Argonne National Laboratory (USA).

Qualifications

• Final year MSc or engineering student in cybersecurity, CS or AI.
• Proficient in Python and shell scripting.
• Fluent English for international supervision.
• Willingness to publish and communicate results.

Responsibilities

• Review the state of the art on security of AI agents and evaluation methods.
• Set up an isolated, instrumented environment for coding agents.
• Design and implement reproducible attack scenarios and evaluate protections.
• Prototype defence mechanisms and assess their benefits and limits.
• Analyse and document results and contribute to a scientific publication.
• Present the work to the team and the academic partner.
