Internship - Gender Data Analysis and Mainstreaming in WOAH Operations
The Data Integration and Analytics Department (DIAD), in collaboration with the Institutional Affairs and Partnerships Department (IAPD), is offering an internship for a motivated student interested in gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) data analysis and evidence-based policy. Based at WOAH Headquarters in Paris, the intern will support consolidation, analysis and interpretation of existing GEDSI-related quantitative and qualitative data to generate evidence for inclusive policies, programmes and decision‑making across WOAH. Missions include: consolidating and harmonising GEDSI-related datasets and reports; conducting quantitative analyses to identify trends and disparities; supporting design and analysis of internal/external surveys; conducting qualitative analysis of GEDSI reports; ensuring methodological consistency; performing desk reviews of external literature on GEDSI in the veterinary workforce; identifying data gaps and analytical opportunities; developing evidence-based findings and recommendations; supporting training materials and communication products; and developing data visualisations and dashboards. Deliverables include a final report, a factsheet, an article, and a documented harmonised dataset. Requirements: at least one year of Master's level study in data science, statistics, international development, gender studies, political science, sociology or related fields with strong quantitative focus; experience using R and/or Python for statistical analysis and data visualisation; ability to analyse data through a GEDSI lens; experience with literature review; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; good MS Office skills; excellent English. Full-time internship, 5 to 6 months, stipend of 715€/month, start date as soon as possible.
