CMA CGM in Marseille offers an internship in the Chartering Department to support the financial follow-up of charter contracts. You will work with negotiators, operations, and the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial monitoring of vessels.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an M2 in Finance-Management at a target school (e.g., IAE or KEDGE).
• Fluent in English and proficient in IT/office tools including Qlik Sense, Excel, and AI tools.
• Rigorous, organized, responsive, and strong team spirit.

Responsabilités

• Control and monitor financial terms and conditions of CP contracts to ensure correct application during the charter period.
• Prepare and update payment schedules for hires of chartered vessels in coordination with internal teams.

Job description:

YOUR ROLE

You will join the Chartering Department, a team of more than 36 people organized into three units: negotiators who charter the vessels, operations staff who manage the vessels on a day-to-day basis, and the financial team responsible for the financial follow-up of vessels throughout the duration of their charter contracts (charter parties, CP).

Within this financial team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial monitoring of charter contracts, working closely with negotiators and operations staff to guarantee accurate and timely financial follow-up of chartered vessels.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TODO ?

• You will control and monitor the financial terms and conditions of charter party contracts (CP), ensuring they are correctly applied throughout the charter period
• You will prepare and update the payment schedules for the hires of chartered vessels, in coordination with the relevant internal teams
• You will verify invoices related to chartered vessels, check them against contractual terms, and plan the corresponding payments in a timely manner
