Job summary

CMA CGM Group in Marseille is offering a 6-month internship in the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) team. You will explore how Generative AI can modernize HSE processes, support risk prevention and regulatory compliance, and improve performance monitoring.

You'll design AI-enabled workflows, build dashboards with Power BI and Excel, and help roll out new digital tools through change management. This hands-on role is ideal for a Master's student in engineering or business with data analytics

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering, Business or University with a specialization in Data Analytics, AI, Digital Transformation, Information Systems, Risk Management or HSE.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, and good knowledge of Power BI.
• Interest in Generative AI and ability to analyze and interpret data.
• Autonomous, detail-oriented and proactive with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify and map HSE processes that could benefit from AI, focusing on high-value use cases.
• Design and test Generative AI solutions to support HSE activities, including documentation, data analysis, audits and reporting.
• Develop AI guidelines and best practices; support HSE teams in adopting new tools via change management and pilots.
• Analyze existing HSE indicators to define a structured performance monitoring framework.
• Develop and automate dashboards using Power BI and Excel to improve data collection and consolidation.
• Monitor key HSE performance indicators such as accidents, near misses, audits, and compliance.
• Produce data-driven analyses to support action plans and management decisions.
• Contribute to the HSE AI roadmap and automated reporting systems.

YOUR ROLE

As part of its continuous improvement and digital transformation strategy, the Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Department aims to strengthen the use of digital tools and Artificial Intelligence to support risk prevention, regulatory compliance and performance management.

This internship is part of a broader initiative to modernize HSE processes, with the objective of improving operational efficiency, the quality of analyses and the monitoring of key performance indicators.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ?

• ou will identify and map HSE processes and activities that could benefit from Artificial Intelligence, focusing on high-value use cases
• You will design and test Generative AI solutions to support HSE activities, including document drafting, field data analysis, audits and inspections, reporting, document management and regulatory monitoring
• You will develop AI user guidelines and best practices, and support HSE teams in adopting new digital tools through change management initiatives and pilot projects
• You will analyze existing HSE indicators and reporting needs to define a structured performance monitoring framework
• You will develop and automate dashboards using Power BI, Excel or other Business Intelligence tools, improving data collection and consolidation
• You will monitor key HSE performance and prevention indicators, including workplace accidents, near misses, safety audits, corrective actions, regulatory training and compliance
• You will produce data-driven analyses to support action plans and management decision-making
• You will contribute to the HSE Department's AI roadmap, automated reporting system and recommendations for continuous improvement

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR ?

• You are currently pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering, Business or at University, with a specialization in Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Digital Transformation, Information Systems, Risk Management or HSE
• You have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel, and good knowledge of Power BI
• You have a strong interest in Generative AI and are comfortable working with, analyzing and interpreting data
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Copilot is a plus, as well as knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment topics
• Analytical and curious, you demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset
• You are autonomous, detail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to suggest and implement new ideas
• You have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as excellent written communication abilities
