Alan is building a global leading prevention-insurance platform and is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to join its Corporate team. The role focuses on independent end‑to‑end audits, risk-based assessments, and driving automation in audit tooling while partnering with Finance, Risk, and Compliance across geographies.

You will lead audits, own remediation, and present to the Audit Committee as needed, contributing to a scalable, governance-driven control environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on internal audit experience across operational, compliance and financial audits.
• Deep expertise in risk management across actuarial, finance, legal, regulatory and security domains.
• Fluent in French and English, able to operate across geographies and governance bodies.
• Strong knowledge of the insurance and financial services industry and regulatory landscape.
• Sharp legal and regulatory instincts with ability to translate frameworks into findings.
• Strong data analysis skills; comfortable with policies, claims and financial data; SQL proficient; AI tools used day-to-day.
• Builder mindset eager to shape differentiated processes; comfortable with async communication.

Senior Internal Auditor – Overview

Internal audit sits with Alan’s Corporate team which brings together control functions: Risk, Corporate Governance & Internal Control, Legal, Compliance and Security around a shared mission: building the infrastructure that lets Alan operate at scale, safely and responsibly. We don’t do traditional audits; we are reinventing Internal Audit. We build things, challenge assumptions, and act as genuine partners to the business — without ever compromising our independence. The team is small, senior, and highly autonomous. The internal audit role sits at the heart of it.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end audits autonomously across Finance, Insurance Operations, Compliance, IT, and Security — from scoping through to Audit Committee reporting
• Own and drive closure of a meaningful share of our open recommendation backlog (15 to 20 open items)
• Represent the Internal Audit function at Audit Committee level when needed
• Co‑build the next generation of audit tooling and automation within the function and the broader Corporate community
• Act as a genuine business partner and challenger — working closely with Finance, Risk, Actuarial, Compliance, and Operations

By the end of your first year, you will have independently led at least 3 full audits, contributed to at least 2 automation or tooling initiatives, and built the trust to represent the function at governance level without oversight.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on internal audit experience, spanning operational, compliance, and financial audits
• Deep expertise in risk management across Actuarial, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, and Security domains
• Fluent in both French and English — you operate confidently across geographies and in front of senior governance bodies
• Strong command of the insurance and financial services industry — you understand how the business works, not just how it’s regulated
• Sharp legal and regulatory instincts — you can interpret complex frameworks and translate them into actionable audit findings
• Strong quantitative and data analysis skills — comfortable analyzing policies, claims, and financial data; autonomous in SQL and actively leverages AI tools in day‑to‑day work
• A builder at heart — excited to shape something differentiated, not looking for a conventional audit career path
• Written‑first — structured, precise, and fully at ease with Alan’s async communication culture

Preferred Skills

• Comfort auditing automated and data‑driven processes (data quality, system controls, operational workflows)
• Exposure to IT, cybersecurity, or infrastructure audits
• Experience managing recommendation tracking at scale, including with engineering or product teams

For this role, we are looking to hire within the C to E level range.
