A leading engineering staffing provider is looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support a project in the North of France. The role entails defining requirements for automation systems, analyzing existing architectures, and preparing technical documentation. Candidates should have strong expertise in industrial automation, proficiency with Siemens S7, and experience in commissioning. This position offers a 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial automation and control systems.
• Proficiency with Siemens S7 and ideally Siemens T3000.
• Hands-on involvement in commissioning and testing.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Control Engineer to support a major project in a combined cycle gas plant. The role involves engineering activities for automation and control systems, ensuring seamless integration of new installations within existing infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Define functional and technical requirements for automation systems
• Analyze existing architecture (I/O interfaces, protocols) and propose integration scenarios
• Prepare technical documentation: specifications, functional descriptions, logigrams
• Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors
• Support commissioning activities, including FAT/SAT and final acceptance
• Ensure compliance with QHSE standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in industrial automation and control systems
• Proficiency with Siemens S7 and ideally Siemens T3000 or equivalent DCS
• Experience in instrumentation specification and technical documentation
• Hands‑on involvement in commissioning and testing
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
