Job summary

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in C and C++ for embedded environments.
• Knowledge of power system protection principles or DSP.
• Proficiency in Python for Test automation; GitHub knowledge.
• Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems (VxWorks, FreeRTOS, QNX, Embedded Linux).
• Language: English proficiency; French required for local collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, real-time embedded software for microprocessor-based protection relays using C/C++.
• Collaborate with Protection Engineers to implement complex mathematical algorithms into efficient, embedded-ready code.
• Optimize firmware for real-time execution with low-latency data processing.
• Perform testing and profiling to ensure stability under extreme grid conditions.
• Implement secure coding practices and security features per IEC 62443.
• Use AI coding assistants for embedded C/C++ development and unit test scaffolding.
• Write precise specs/prompts to guide AI-generated code changes.
• Validate AI-generated code against timing and memory constraints.
• Apply AI-assisted static analysis for safety-critical code reviews.
