Job summary

Exeter Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking an experienced registered nurse for a 10-bed ICU. The role offers 3 x 12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am) with every third weekend, a strong nurse-to-patient ratio and collaboration with physicians and other disciplines.

The position emphasizes leadership, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development, with a competitive pay range and sign-on bonus eligibility. Vaccination is required.

Qualifications

• RN license in NH (or compact state) required.
• BCLS certification (or within 30 days of hire); BSN strongly preferred
• ACLS certification (or within 1 year of hire)

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within assigned unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Mentors/teaches and precepts new employees.
• Delegates tasks appropriately and monitors staff utilization.
• Performs physical assessments and ongoing reassessments.
• Prioritizes patient care problems and makes decisions independently and collaboratively.
• Communicates effectively during hand-offs and discharge planning.
• Evaluates and modifies care plans based on outcomes; documents education and patient response.
