Bull’s R&D Software HPC and AI division seeks a passionate HPC Software Architect to shape the technology roadmap for next-generation supercomputing systems. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software stacks, tackling scheduling, parallel computing, and performance profiling for some of the world’s most powerful supercomputers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in HPC environments and supercomputing compute stacks.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling algorithms, parallel computing paradigms, and performance profiling techniques.
• Familiarity with MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, container orchestration, and workload managers.
• Experience designing and implementing complex software architectures at scale.

Responsabilités

• Design and architect solutions for supercomputing workloads, focusing on scheduler stacks, parallel computing frameworks, and performance profiling tools
• Drive technical innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and integrating breakthrough concepts into product roadmaps
• Conduct continuous technology watch in HPC and AI domains to identify advancements that deliver competitive advantage
• Propose novel architectures that push the boundaries of performance, scalability, and energy efficiency
• Collaborate with pre-sales teams to identify customer needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Partner with delivery teams to understand deployment challenges and refine architectural approaches based on real-world usage
• Work closely with R&D teams to implement proposed solutions and ensure alignment with technical capabilities
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor across the organization, providing guidance on complex architectural decisions
• Communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, from executives to engineering teams
• Provide architectural guidance and mentorship to development teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Create clear documentation and presentations that articulate architectural decisions and their rationale
• Foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the architecture team

Bull is seeking a passionate HPC Software Architect to shape the technology roadmap for next-generation supercomputing systems. You will work at the intersection of cutting-edge hardware and sophisticated software stacks, tackling challenges in scheduling, parallel computing, and performance profiling for some of the most powerful supercomputers in the world.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Architecture and Innovation

• Design and architect solutions for supercomputing workloads, focusing on scheduler stacks, parallel computing frameworks, and performance profiling tools
• Drive technical innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and integrating breakthrough concepts into product roadmaps
• Conduct continuous technology watch in HPC and AI domains to identify advancements that deliver competitive advantage

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• Proven experience in HPC environments, with deep understanding of supercomputing compute stacks
• Strong knowledge of scheduling algorithms, parallel computing paradigms, and performance profiling techniques
• Familiarity with modern HPC technologies: MPI, OpenMP, CUDA, container orchestration, and workload managers
• Experience designing and implementing complex software architectures at scale

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication skills in English (required), with the ability to present technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with pre-sales, delivery, and R&D teams
• Demonstrated ability to coach and guide engineering teams toward technical excellence
• Proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and technology exploration

Professional Background

• Previous experience in an architect or senior technical role with cross-functional responsibilities
• Track record of successful collaboration between customer-facing teams and technical R&D
• Experience in iterative development and refined architecture through customer feedback
