IXO Labs is seeking an expert to design and critique healthcare research instruments for clinicians or patients. You will examine screeners, wording, response scales, sampling, routing and respondent burden, identifying bias and measurement weaknesses and proposing clear revisions to improve the quality of the evidence.

This is remote, paid IXO expert work. Pay is $210/hr USD, with the applicable rate agreed before starting the engagement.

Design and critique healthcare research instruments for clinicians or patients. Examine screeners, wording, response scales, sampling, routing and respondent burden; identify bias and measurement weaknesses, and provide clear revisions that improve the quality of the resulting evidence.

Professional background

Bring at least three years in medically focused research and direct experience designing or running surveys of patients, physicians or other health professionals. Relevant routes include pharmaceutical/consumer insights, survey methodology, quantitative or behavioral research, healthcare consulting and patient-experience studies. You must assess questionnaire design, screening, patient-volume criteria, prescribing behavior, treatment pathways and clinical terminology, and explain methodological decisions precisely.

Patient journeys, adherence, quality of life and diagnosis/treatment-history research are valuable. Survey-platform experience—such as Qualtrics, Forsta/Decipher, Alchemer or SurveyMonkey—is helpful rather than mandatory. Therapeutic expertise is particularly useful in prostate cancer, ulcerative colitis/IBD, migraine/headache or COPD. A methodology specialist can qualify without covering every therapeutic field; combined methodology and clinical expertise is especially useful.

Working arrangements

This is remote, paid IXO expert work. Agree the specific task brief, permitted materials, outputs and working schedule with IXO before starting. Any commitment or duration described in a practice profile is an indicative planning requirement for that route, subject to that agreement.

Pay

$210/hr USD. The applicable rate is agreed for the work and professional track before you begin.
