Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government seeks an Assistant Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in delivering the Head Start Education Plan. You will help implement daily activities, supervise children, and ensure a safe, engaging classroom environment.

The role requires collaboration with staff, participation in home visits, and adherence to licensing and Head Start standards. Prior experience with preschoolers is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with preschool children.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilités

• Support the Teacher in implementing the Head Start Education Plan.
• Assist with lesson planning and daily classroom activities.
• Help with classroom management and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
• Attend home visits and ensure adherence to Head Start standards.
• Complete routine documentation such as attendance, logs, and incident reports.
