Cartan Trade is seeking a Senior Programme Lead to support the CTO and oversee the core-system replacement in a regulated financial environment. You will work with the Head of Information Systems, the tech team and business heads to land the programme without disruption and to govern AI as a measured, responsible capability.
You will drive delivery, manage dependencies and budget, lead change with process redesign and training, and identify AI use cases with cross‑functional teams; turn pilots
Cartan Trade is a fast-growing trade credit insurance MGA backed by a leading international insurance group. Every day we decide how much risk to grant on tens of thousands of European buyers: the speed and quality of those decisions are our edge, and they run on technology.
We are replacing our core system with a modular architecture we own, with no big bang; credit decisions, pricing and commercial intelligence are built in-house; AI is entering the daily work of our teams with clear guardrails. A small, senior, cloud-native, code-first team.
Technology alone does not create value. We are looking for someone to support the CTO and the business teams through this change: landing the core-system replacement without disrupting our brokers, clients or regulator, and making AI a governed, measured practice rather than individual experimentation.
You accompany the delivery of the programme on behalf of the CTO, who remains accountable and sets strategy, architecture and vendor choices. You work with the Head of Information Systems, the tech team and the business heads.
Drive programme delivery — integrated plan, dependencies, risks, budget, steering-committee preparation; acceptance testing and data reconciliation with the business; cut-over readiness.
Lead the change — impact analysis, process redesign with the business, training, key-user network, go-live support.
Bring AI to the business — identify and prioritise use cases with Sales, Underwriting, Risk, Claims and Finance; write the usage charter; train and animate a champions network; turn pilots into industrialised workflows with the engineering team; measure adoption and value monthly.
Turn a fast-moving programme into a predictable one the business owns: a shared plan, teams engaged in testing and process redesign, the first domains migrated safely, and AI moved from experimentation to measured workflows in production. At the end you put in the CTO’s hands a credible path to the cut-over and quantified AI results, on which the next steps of the programme are decided.
