Job summary

Spendesk is seeking a Head of People Operations & Employee Relations to lead a 2-person team and own People Operations and Employee Relations for France, the UK, Spain, Germany and Italy. You will ensure compliant, scalable processes and drive automation to improve the experience for 250+ Spendeskers across multiple countries.

You will combine team leadership with local HR expertise, continuous improvement, and governance of sensitive People data while partnering with Finance and payroll

Qualifications

• Led a People Operations function or department, with cross-country scope across multiple countries.
• Significant international experience and comfort operating across diverse regulatory environments.
• Hands-on AI, automation, or workflow improvements in People Ops.
• Ability to translate strategic priorities into scalable People Ops processes.
• Employee-first approach with focus on operational efficiency and impact.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the People Operations roadmap aligned with Spendesk priorities and wider People strategy.
• Oversee employee journey & payroll operations across France, UK, Spain, Germany and Italy; ensure quality, consistency and timely processes.
• Champion automation and AI to reduce manual work, improve data flows and provide faster access to information.
• Co-lead employee and labour relations across France, Spain and Germany, including social dialogue and Works Councils.
