We are searching for a scientific leader to head the computational team focused on protein engineering, biologics, and delivery vectors within a drug design platform organisation.

This role owns people leadership, scientific quality, and operational delivery, overseeing the application of advanced computational methods across internal programmes and partner-driven projects.

Working closely with senior scientific and platform leadership, you will translate strategy into execution shaping how computational capabilities are developed, standardised, and scaled, while ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of work that directly supports therapeutic design and development.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary Protein & Vector Engineering team
• Own delivery of computational work across client, partner, and internal programmes
• Coordinate closely with computational, translational, and platform teams to ensure smooth execution
• Drive improvements in workflow standardisation, quality, and operational efficiency
• Translate scientific and business priorities into resourcing plans and execution roadmaps
• Provide clear delivery updates, risk assessments, and recommendations to senior stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

• PhD in Computational Chemistry, Structural Bioinformatics, Data Science, or related field
• Proven experience leading scientific or technical teams in an industrial setting
• Strong background in computational drug design, biologics, peptides, or vector engineering
• Demonstrated ability to turn strategy into operational delivery
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working across disciplines
