Job summary

Alta Ares is seeking a hands-on Talent Acquisition professional to lead end-to-end recruitment for hardware and engineering teams. You will build proactive sourcing strategies, develop talent pipelines, and directly headhunt across defense, aerospace and related industries.

You will partner with Engineering, R&D and Production leaders to define roles, manage the full process from outreach to offer, and relentlessly improve hiring efficiency in a fast-scale environment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of recruitment experience, ideally combining agency or executive search with in-house hiring.
• Proven track record recruiting hardware and engineering talent.
• Hands-on sourcing and headhunting with passive candidates in competitive markets.
• Experience in a scale-up or high-growth environment as an early talent acquisition hire.
• Strong stakeholder management with technical leaders and hiring managers.
• Data-driven approach using recruitment metrics to improve performance.
• Entrepreneurial, autonomous and adaptable in fast-paced settings.
• Excellent communication skills to sell Alta Ares' mission to top engineering talent.
• Fluency in English and French is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end recruitment for Alta Ares' Hardware and Engineering teams, focusing on critical technical roles across R&D, Production and Industrialization.
• Build proactive sourcing strategies and talent pipelines for key hardware profiles, including electronics, mechanical, embedded systems, FPGA, test and industrialization engineers.
• Drive hands-on sourcing and headhunting to attract high-impact technical talent from defense, aerospace and other advanced hardware industries.
• Partner with Engineering, R&D and Production leaders to define role requirements and hiring priorities.
• Manage the full recruitment process, from outreach to offer negotiation, ensuring speed and quality.
• Develop understanding of Alta Ares' hardware technologies and industrial ambitions to assess candidates effectively.
• Maintain talent pipelines across defense contractors, aerospace companies and deep-tech networks.
• Track recruitment KPIs and continuously improve sourcing, interview processes and efficiency.
• Strengthen Alta Ares' employer brand through outreach and events in the hardware community.
• Support recruitment across other functions as needed.
