Job summary

Mistral is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join the Accounting team. You will oversee accuracy and completeness of financial statements for Mistral AI, driving rigorous controls and close processes across the group.

Reporting to the Group Accounting Director, you will coordinate with external auditors, tax and internal control functions, delivering audit-ready reports for consolidated entities and statutory filings.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience including Big 4 audit and statutory audits.
• Experience in tech start-ups/scale-ups, high-growth AI/software environments.
• Expert IFRS knowledge with consolidation and compliance; French GAAP a plus.
• Proficient in SAP S4 and advanced Excel for analysis and reporting.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review accounting entries (journal entries, accruals, provisions, intercompany) for IFRS and French GAAP.
• Partner with Accounting Ops Lead to ensure a robust close process and R2R outputs.
• Implement and enforce financial controls including segregation of duties and reconciliation processes.
• Liaise with external auditors (Big 4) during statutory audits and ensure timely delivery of requests.
• Oversee audit-ready consolidated and statutory financial statements for all Group entities.
• Collaborate with Tax team to ensure VAT, corporate tax, payroll taxes compliance.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations, P&L and flux analyses for data integrity.
• Support design and monitoring of key controls to prevent errors or fraud.
• Review management reporting packages and variance analyses for senior leadership.
