Job summary

MANITOU Group in Ancenis, France seeks a Supplier Development professional to grow the supplier base and improve QCD performance across the supply chain. The role focuses on collaboration with manufacturing facilities, supplier quality improvements, cost reductions, and delivery reliability.

You will work with international suppliers, drive capability assessments, and support operations during supply chain crises. The contract is short-term, with 7–12 months on site in Ancenis.

Qualifications

• Master degree required in supply chain, engineering or equivalent.
• 5-7 years of experience in supplier development in industrial and international context.
• Fluent in English and French; other languages are an advantage for international suppliers.
• Experience managing international supplier relations and driving capability/maturity assessments.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop the supplier base on QCD performances per Manitou requirements.
• Improve supplier quality by reducing defects and process variation.
• Drive cost reductions by eliminating waste and improving efficiency.
• Improve delivery performance and supplier OTDS and capacity.
• Coordinate with critical suppliers to secure capacity and performance.
• Optimize inbound logistics, JIT, VMI, and packing to reduce lead times.
• Qualify new strategic suppliers per internal procedures.
