Nexans is seeking a seasoned Category Manager to lead the purchasing function across regions within the industrial materials area. You will define category roadmaps, align with BGs and drive security of supply, cost, and CSR objectives.

In this role, you will manage a network of regional managers, analyze market trends, and lead negotiations for long-term supplier engagements, delivering tangible cost and cash optimization for Nexans' global operations in a demanding industrial environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: minimum 10 years leadership experience in Purchasing within Industrial environments, including plastic raw material purchasing.
• Education: Engineering Master degree or equivalent; MBA is a plus.
• Fluent in English, one to two other languages a plus.
• Leadership skills: ability to mobilize transversal and cross-functional teams; cross-cultural leadership.

Responsabilités

• Define Category Purchasing Company roadmap to meet business needs and E3 objectives.
• Define the Category objective and manage its activities in accordance with business needs and Group Purchasing objectives – Align targets and arbitrate priorities with BGs whenever needed.
• Monitor purchasing standards and indicators adapted to its Category (standard contractual models, performance dashboard, ...)
• Supervise the purchasing risk analysis and mitigation plans implementation in the scope of his/her Category
• Manage a network of Regional Category Managers to ensure full alignment with the global strategy
• Analyze market trends and cost drivers; establish market benchmarks; ensure cost structure analysis is part of the Category Plan
• Coordinate Supplier Relationship Management to leverage cross-BG synergies and deploy long-term agreements
• Drive supplier negotiations and engagement for the Category
