Job Description

Your mission as Global Buyer for HR and Professional Services is to initiate and execute procurement actions and projects, in alignment with Business customers and Business strategies, to deliver competitive advantages to the business.

You will use data gathering and analysis to make informed recommendations and support decision making process.

You will contribute to the strategic development of your portfolio using effective Category Strategies and will ensure the robust delivery through clear measurable Business benefits reports.

You will proactively contribute to the development of the Procurement Community.

WHAT - Main Responsibilities & Technical Competencies
Initiate & Execute Procurement Actions and Projects
  • Be the Procurement Subject Matter Expert on assigned sub‑categories (HR & Professional Services).
  • Deliver effective Procurement category strategy: ensuring the integration of the business needs into procurement strategy.
  • Be the owner of the data of their sub‑category (spend, suppliers…). Be accountable for the relevance & the accuracy of the data for their sub‑categories.
  • Foster insights from external markets (suppliers, benchmark…).
  • Contribute to a multi‑year strategic plan to support the sub‑category strategy targets.
  • Be accountable for building & delivering of the pipeline for its sub‑categories (for global & local initiatives).
  • Organise and lead operational oversight meetings, support and attend Business reviews with suppliers.
Category Management

Be responsible for Sourcing Strategies processes already existing and drive when needed their definition or evolution.

These main activities would include the following but are not limited to:

Design and Build Sourcing Strategies
  • Design, build and lead appropriate sourcing strategies for Global / multi‑markets projects.
  • Provide hands‑on execution support including negotiating and/or issuing of tenders, obtaining legal review and approval of a contract when required.
  • Manage contract execution (compliance & supplier performance) in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Support / contribute to critical local or division sourcing projects.
  • Maintain the Stakeholder for the assigned sub‑categories.
  • Support CSR initiatives related to assigned sub‑categories.
  • Manage or support contractual or business litigations for assigned sub‑categories.
Category Support
  • With the support of the External Resources & Mobility Services Global Strategic Sourcing Director, oversee the implementation of assigned sub‑categories roadmap.
  • Support some key operational initiatives and manage RFP processes until contract execution to support Business projects.
  • Monitor MSA execution, compliance and deviation.
Strategic Supplier Relationship Management

Support SRM processes already existing or to be defined.

These main activities would include the following but are not limited to:

Supplier Relationship Management
  • Support the SRM strategy and objectives / Be responsible for SRM processes.
  • Lead and manage the SRM activities with key vendors in line with the SRM program.
  • Organise and lead operational oversight meetings, support and attend Steering committees with suppliers.
  • Implement SRM and deliver value through effective application of the SRM global process.
  • Build robust partnerships with strategic suppliers.
  • Manage key supplier interactions, communication process across the organisation.
  • Manage supplier lifecycle (development plan, exit).
Monitor, Measure & Report Purchasing Performance
  • Be responsible for sub‑category Procurement management & performance.
  • Develop and implement KPIs and reporting mechanisms to track sub‑category performance.
  • Encourage cross‑market and cross‑functional collaboration to take advantage of synergies through effective business partnering and stakeholder management for sub‑categories.
  • Identify & mitigate category risks (business, supply, quality, suppliers…).
Business Partnering
  • Attend Budget holder meeting and support Budget Holders with their budget requirements/spend status.
  • Interact in a smart and collaborative way with the Global / HQ internal stakeholders to optimise the spend. Be a trusted adviser, and a challenger to the business.
  • Identifies the needs for services with the Global / HQ internal stakeholders (functions).
Contribute to the Development & Management of the Procurement Community
  • Contribute to driving a culture of teamwork and project management good practices.
  • Facilitate & promote compliance of Category strategies, processes, policies & tools.
  • Share best practices & participate actively in external networking and benchmark for the specific categories of the position.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and project management good practices.
Knowledge & Experience (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in Procurement in an international & matrix environment.
  • Proven success in delivering competitive advantages to the business and in leading projects.
  • Experience in negotiation in cross‑functional and cross‑market teams ideally.
  • Fully skilled in Procurement strategies, processes, systems & tools.
  • Demonstrated successful use of risk management and supplier relation management.
  • Ability to convert general data and findings into specific suggestions that add value to the business and the team.
  • Ability to manage projects to ensure successful delivery, to establish clear goals and accountabilities. This includes the ability to develop project plans, prioritise, identify potential issues/risk and develop contingency plans.
  • Decisive, make timely practical and effective decisions. Takes initiatives. Foster open communications, share information that drive to Procurement community and business to success.
  • Demonstrate healthy and productive influencing ability. Gain the respect and confidence of stakeholders. Build constructive and effective relations.
  • Align continuous improvement with the strategic objectives of the organisation; drives process excellence.
Knowledge & Experience (preferred)
  • International experience & exposure to multi‑cultural environment.
Education / Certifications (essential)
  • Master’s degree in business / management / procurement.
Language(s) (essential)

Language: Fluent in French and English.
