Job summary

Phileo Lesaffre, a global player in yeasts and fermentation, is seeking a Category Manager for Animal Health & Nutrition in the Lille area. You will lead a product portfolio, drive go-to-market strategies and support sales development through life-cycle management.

Requirements include a master’s degree in Marketing or Ag Eng, 10+ years in product management in Animal nutrition/health, fluency in English, and strong communication skills. Travel up to 40%; open to people with disabilities.

Qualifications

• You have a master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration and/or technical engineer education in Agriculture (or equivalent).
• You have at least 10 years of successful experience in product management in Animal nutrition & health industry.
• You speak English fluently and ideally another language (French will be an advantage).
• You are recognized for interpersonal skills and ability to operate in a matrix and multicultural environment.
• You are a team player with strong communication and presentation skills to articulate product vision and strategy.
• You have good knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools (or equivalent).

• Conduct market research to understand trends, competition, technologies, customers’ needs and suggest portfolio value creation for growth.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize the product value proposition.
• Responsible for deployment of portfolio positioning.
• Develop and implement an action plan for product pre- and post-launch phases.
• Track KPIs to assess product success and optimize sales.
• Support sales teams by keeping marketing material and tool kits up to date.
• Develop and execute internal and external marketing training plans for sales teams and customers.
• Ensure all aspects of the marketing mix.

Mission:

Category Manager oversees a category of products and drives product performance & profitability, by leading go-to-market and supporting sales development through product portfolio life cycle management.

Responsibilities:

- You have a master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration and/or technical engineer education in Agriculture sector (or equivalent).

- You have at least 10 years of successful experience in product management in Animal nutrition & health industry.

The position is located in Marcq-en-Baroeul (Lille Metropolitan area) in the North of France, in the immediate proximity to the Lesaffre Group Headquarters.

The position requires up to 40 % of travelling.
