Job summary

Arkema in Aubigny-sur-Nère, Centre-Val de Loire, seeks an FP&A Analyst to support performance with accurate financial analysis, forecasting, cost control and reporting. You will partner with Finance and Operations, driving profitability and helping decision-making through automated reporting and data insights.

You will work with SAP and Power BI, leveraging advanced Excel, and you must communicate in English. French is a plus, and 3–5 years of FP&A experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Engineering, Finance, Controlling, or related field.
• 3 to 5 years' FP&A experience in an international multi-site environment.
• Strong ERP (SAP), Excel and reporting tool skills; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly closing activities and ensure financial data accuracy.
• Prepare monthly performance reports and variance analysis vs Budget/Forecast.
• Support annual budgeting and monitor risks and opportunities.
• Monitor fixed costs, production volumes and manufacturing performance.

Job description

The FP&A Analyst plays a key role in supporting business performance by providing accurate financial analysis, forecasting, cost control, and management reporting. The position partners with Finance and Operations teams to drive profitability, improve decision-making, ensure cost discipline, and support digitalization initiatives through enhanced data analytics, reporting automation, and process improvements. The role contributes to achieving the company's financial objectives by delivering timely insights and actionable recommendations.

Monthly Closing & Forecasting

• Coordinate monthly closing activities and ensure financial data accuracy.
• Prepare monthly performance reports and variance analysis versus Budget, Forecast, and Prior Year.
• Support the preparation and consolidation of monthly forecasts & monitor risks & opportunities throughout the forecasting cycle.
• Provide timely financial insights to support management decision-making.
• Coordinate the annual budget process for the GBU

Industrial Controlling Analysis (Fixed Costs, Production Volumes & Manufacturing Performance)

• Monitor Plant fixed costs and identify deviations versus budget and forecast.
• Support manufacturing cost analysis.
• Monitor the capex budget and spending versus plan.
• Recommend actions to improve operational efficiency and profitability.

Central Cost Management & Follow-up

• Monitor central overhead costs and ensure adherence to budget targets.
• Partner with cost center owners to review spending and identify savings opportunities.
• Track headcount and personnel cost evolution.
• Support Power BI, SAP, and other reporting tools enhancements.
• Improve data quality, consistency, and governance across finance processes.
• Automate manual reporting activities to increase efficiency.

Global Industrial Director / Plant Controllers / FP&A Regional & Corporate Finance teams / IT / Digital teams

You hold a Master’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Controlling, Business Administration, or a related field, with at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in FP&a within an international multi-site environment. You bring strong business partnering, analytical, communication, and influencing skills, along with expertise in ERP systems (ideally SAP), advanced Excel, and reporting tools such as Power BI. Fluent English is required; French is a plus.
