Job summary

edenity is seeking a hands-on Architecture Lead to own the end-to-end frontend and solution architecture for the company’s leasing portal. You will assess the current landscape, shape scalable architecture, design API contracts, and set accessible design system standards.

This is a hands-on role; you will validate decisions in code, build proofs of concept, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product stakeholders across Europe.

Qualifications

• Several years in software or solution architecture with frontend or fullstack background.
• Hands-on API design (REST, OpenAPI, GraphQL) and distributed systems.
• WCAG and accessibility knowledge, CI/CD, automated testing strategies.
• Able to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English; German or Dutch a plus.
• Nice to have: e‑commerce, leasing, fintech or multi‑brand platforms, enterprise design systems, modular monoliths or micro‑frontends, AI‑assisted development.

The role:

You’ll own the end-to-end frontend and solution architecture for the company’s leasing portal. That covers assessing the current system landscape, shaping a scalable target architecture, designing API contracts and setting the standards for an accessible design system. You’ll be the main technical sparring partner for the product teams, mentor engineers and explain architectural trade-offs clearly to business stakeholders.

This is a hands‑on architecture role. You’ll validate decisions in code and build proofs of concept yourself, so it isn’t for architects who have stepped away from writing code.

What you’ll be doing:

• Assess the existing systems and design sustainable, scalable architecture, then prove it out in code
• Define standards for frontend architecture, component libraries, state management and WCAG‑compliant design systems
• Design, secure and maintain API contracts (REST, OpenAPI, GraphQL) across distributed systems
• Set the bar for automated testing, code quality, containerised deployments and CI/CD
• Guide and mentor engineers across teams and align them with business stakeholders

What you’ll need:

• Several years in software or solution architecture, with a strong frontend or fullstack engineering background
• Hands‑on API design (REST, OpenAPI, GraphQL), distributed systems, microservices, Docker and cloud environments
• Strong WCAG and accessibility knowledge, CI/CD, automated testing strategies and well‑documented architecture decisions
• The ability to explain technical decisions to non‑technical stakeholders
• Fluent English (German or Dutch is a plus)
• Nice to have: e‑commerce, leasing, fintech or multi‑brand platforms, enterprise design systems, modular monoliths or micro‑frontends, AI‑assisted development (Claude Code, Copilot, Codex), experience in international cross‑functional organisations

Location & logistics:

Remote‑first. You can be based in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Austria, Belgium or Sweden, with occasional travel for team gatherings.
