Loftorbital in Toulouse is hiring a Frontend Engineer to enhance the user interface of our satellite operations software, Cockpit. This role involves collaborating with peers to build and refine tools that support satellite operations, while also developing web applications and maintaining our service architecture.

Candidates should be proficient in TypeScript, HTML, and CSS, with experience in Vue or React. This position includes benefits like up to 35 days of paid time off, health insurance, and cross-office travel opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience with GraphQL APIs and unit/integration testing.
• Experience with Mapping/Geospatial Libraries like Leaflet or Mapbox.

Overview

As a Frontend Engineer at Loft, you will work on refining the UI of Cockpit, our satellite operations software, and empowering end-users with powerful satellite management capabilities. You’ll collaborate with peers on the Frontend Engineering team and interface with the wider Software team.

Responsibilities

• Building and refining tools for satellite operations and autopilot observability
• Developing and maintaining our web applications and services
• Collaborating on UI/UX design to enhance user experience
• Integrating with backend services using GraphQL APIs
• Supporting internal teams in using our ground software (Cockpit)
• Getting hands‑on experience with satellite operations – everyone at Loft plays a role in mission success!

Tech Stack

• Frontend: Vue.js, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
• APIs: GraphQL
• Bonus: Web Components (Lit)

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, HTML, and CSS
• Experience with Vue or React
• Experience working on SPAs
• Experience with GraphQL APIs
• Experience with testing (unit and integration testing, e.g., Vitest, Jest, Cypress)
• Experience with Web Components
