Capitaine Train was founded by 3 engineers obsessed with simplicity. Our organisational structure is very simple and linear: those who make product decisions are the same ones who build them. We are a young and small start-up (40 people) and we are growing very quickly. Your work will have a direct and visible impact on the growth of our company.

Job Description

You

You are an experienced front‑end developer and you are not afraid to team up with the marketing & design guys to launch great operations. You love to build animated webpages in a breeze and know the last SVG tricks.

You also have A/B tested your wardrobe in every nightclub of the city, you check the results of your multivariate tests every two minutes on your phone and you have built a dashboard for your fridge.

Role

• Work with the marketing team to develop new concepts and operations
• Develop new pages to support online and offline advertising campaigns
• Team with the UX designer to develop A/B testing scenarios
• Implement our CRM & email strategy to nurture and reactivate our customer base

Qualifications

Requirements

• Perfect spelling and grammar (in your mother tongue)
• Decent written and spoken English
• Extensive knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 & Javascript
• Good knowledge of Ruby
• Self‑organized. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Experience with software engineering best practices (testing, code reviews, continuous integration, design documentation…)

Pluses

• Experience with D3.js or any other visualization library
• Experience with OpenStreetMap, Mapbox or any other map tool
• Experience with Ember.js or any other web application framework
