Job summary

Mindrift is seeking a seasoned CAD specialist to help train and evaluate AI agents operating in a real CAD environment on long engineering tasks. You will design part geometry, build reference solutions, and judge agent attempts, collaborating with CFD engineers.

This fully remote freelance role offers flexible hours (10-20 hours per week during active phases) and compensation up to $50 per hour, with performance-based bonuses across projects; prior CAD licensing and strong Python/GitHub skills

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional, hands-on CAD modelling experience.
• Experience preparing geometry for simulation in ANSYS or similar.
• Active CAD licence required.
• Strong Python and GitHub familiarity.
• English at B2 level or above.

About The Role

Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or a related field. A Master's or PhD is a plus
• 5+ years of professional, hands-on CAD modelling (CATIA, SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Creo or similar). Experience preparing geometry for simulation (ANSYS or similar) is a strong plus
• An active professional CAD licence of your own (required)
• Comfortable with Python and GitHub
• English at B2 level or above

Project time expectations

For this project, tasks are estimated to require around 10-20 hours per week during active phases, based on project requirements. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed workload, and applies only while the project is active.

Compensation

On this project, contributors can earn up to $50 per hour equivalent, depending on their level and pace of contribution.

Compensation varies across projects depending on scope, complexity, and required expertise. Please note that other projects on the platform may offer different earning levels based on their requirements.
