Job summary

Altea Energy in Paris is seeking a senior FPSO Lead HVAC Engineer to lead HVAC engineering for a major FPSO package, overseeing design reviews, procurement follow-up, construction support, testing and commissioning. The role requires an engineering degree and 15+ years in HVAC, with 10+ years on FPSO or offshore facilities to ensure compliance with codes and HSE requirements.

You will coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Marine Systems and Safety teams.

Role Overview

The FPSO Lead HVAC Engineer is responsible for the engineering, design review, procurement follow-up, construction support, testing, and commissioning of all Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems for a major FPSO development.

The role ensures HVAC systems comply with project specifications, international standards, HSE requirements, and operational performance objectives throughout all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all HVAC engineering activities for the FPSO package.
• Review HVAC philosophies, calculations, layouts and technical documentation.
• Validate contractor engineering deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards and Company specifications.
• Support technical reviews and design optimization.
• Monitor fabrication and installation activities.
• Support FAT, SAT and commissioning activities.
• Coordinate resolution of technical issues during construction.Ensure mechanical completion and handover readiness.
