Arsenals AI is seeking a Founding Hardware Engineer in Paris to own the physical heart of our underwater systems. From prototype to sea-proven products, you will design, prototype, test, and iterate across mechanical, electrical, and software boundaries.

You will move between CAD, electronics bench, and the water, shaping the company as an early employee and leading major projects. Must have 7+ years of hardware experience and hands-on fabrication skills.

Qualifications

Graduate from a top engineering school or university.
7+ years of hardware engineering experience with shipped or field-tested hardware.
Fast prototyper with hands-on fabrication (machining, 3D printing, composites, wiring).
Fluent in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape) and mechanical analysis (FEA).
Strong systems thinking across mechanical, electrical, and software boundaries.
End-to-end ownership from requirements to production-ready hardware.

Responsabilités

Own end-to-end development of core hardware subsystems: mechanical structures, pressure hulls, propulsion, electronics integration, payload interfaces.
Design, prototype, and validate innovative solutions from sketch to sea trials.
Design for underwater environment: pressure, corrosion, sealing, buoyancy, thermal management, shock/vibration.
Build test infrastructure to validate hardware quickly and rigorously.
Take designs from prototype to small-series production: DFM/DFA, supplier selection, sourcing, quality control.
Build and lead a future team of engineers (hiring, onboarding, standards, delivery).
