Job summary

Motion (Creative Analytics) is seeking a founding engineer to join as an early IC, owning meaningful parts of the product and shipping with a small team. You’ll help define architecture, make tradeoffs, and drive delivery from day one in a high-ownership environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a technical founder, co-founder, or one of the first engineers at a startup, with meaningful code contribution.
• Years of shipping product in a small team where you owned the outcome.
• Ability to explain complex architecture, rationale, and tradeoffs, and how it fits together.
• Comfort building without a formal spec.
• Background can be self-taught, bootcamp, or degree.

Responsibilities

• Ship features across the product, understand the problem, decide, build, and own the outcome.
• Work in a small, high-ownership, cross-functional team.
• Ship to production in your first week and own a significant initiative in your first month.
• Collaborate to apply AI effectively and improve stack based on your experience.
• Fix blockers and obstacles you have tackled before.
