Job summary

Airbus Operations SAS in Toulouse is seeking a Primary Flight Control Designer to join the Flight Control System and Guidance team. You will contribute to high/low-level design, specifications, and system integration to ensure flight controls safety and certification.

You will work with Matlab/Simulink and SCADE, manage interfaces with avionics, and support tool development and safety analyses. English is required; French or other languages are a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Flight Control Systems design or complex system engineering.
• Strong technical background in Matlab/Simulink, with SCADE usage considered a strong advantage.
• Sound knowledge of aeronautics, Overall Aircraft Design, and advanced automation principles.
• Experience with test requirements definition, system safety analyses, and certification dossiers.

Responsibilities

• Specify primary flight computers using formal specification tools (SCADE) and integrate flight control laws and Automatic Flight Systems.
• Define and manage interfaces between primary flight control computers and key avionics systems (Navigation, Display, Warnings).
• Contribute to defining tools, methods, and specification rules for primary flight control computer design.
• Write simulation, laboratory, or flight test requirements and track associated progress.
• Perform safety analyses and produce technical evidence required for certification compliance.
