A community health organization in Salles-la-Source is seeking a Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service, assist in fittings, and manage inventory. The Figleaf Sales Associate will be responsible for providing customer service in a professional and courteous manner, run the cash register, maintain inventory, receive, price, and stock merchandise, answer telephone, utilize electronic billing program to conduct patient registration, and schedule appointments with professionalism and utmost regard to HIPAA requirements. The Associate assists with/conducts mastectomy fittings, compression fittings and nursing bra fittings.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to demonstrate customer service skills and compassion to patients/family members. Ability to give and receive instruction, written or verbal. Must be able to make basic mathematical calculations accurately and in a timely manner. Must be a team player with highly developed problem solving and communication skills. Must maintain composure when dealing with stressful situations. Ability to learn rapidly and perform a variety of tasks in an accurate and timely manner. Must be willing to work at multiple locations as needed with a flexible schedule to work events. Attention to detail.

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Fits prostheses and bras and customizes recommendations for mastectomy products with each patient. Also responsible for fitting compression garments and ensure needs are met.
  • Accurately identifies and enters patient demographics, insurance, and financial information including in network and out of network benefits through electronic filing systems, EPIC.
  • Obtains patient identification and insurance cards. Scans appropriate information into patient's account.
  • Verifies medical necessity in accordance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service (CMS) standards of communicates relevant coverage and eligibility information to the patient.
  • Scrutinizes all registrations to ensure that all necessary information is obtained, including but not limited to any necessary authorization, reach out to physician offices and/or insurance companies when needed.
  • Answers the telephone with appropriate telephone etiquette.
  • Operates the cash register/Point of Sale System, maintaining accurate inventory and correct pricing by ensuring each item is scanned correctly during sales transaction.
  • Merchandises product on the sales floor as directed.
  • Cleans displays and shelves and straightens merchandise on a routine basis.
  • Receives, prices and stocks merchandise.
  • Monitors store traffic and notifies manager or security if there is a suspicion of shoplifting.
  • Maintains a positive and productive working relationship with other members of the department.
  • Respects the confidentiality and privacy needs of the patients, family, and staff.
  • Participates in cross training for work in the other stores and rotates to other stores as needed.
