JBT Marel, a global leader in food processing solutions, is seeking a Field Service Engineer – Meat in France, with a focus on Brittany. You will install, commission, and service advanced Meat processing equipment at customer sites, traveling across the country.

You combine mechanical and electrical expertise, diagnose issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide on-site training. Weekend work and travel are part of the role, with safety and customer satisfaction a priority.

Qualifications

• Mechatronics or mechanical/electrical degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience servicing, maintaining, or commissioning complex machinery.
• Willingness to travel across France and work weekends.

Field Service Engineer – Meat

you will play a vital role in installing, commissioning, and servicing advanced Meat processing machinery for leading manufacturers across France, with a focus on the Brittany region. With a mechatronics background that combines mechanical and electrical knowledge, you’ll ensure our systems operate at peak performance. You’ll represent JBT Marel with professionalism, flexibility, and dedication, including global travel and frequent weekend work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Install, commission, and service JBT Marel Meat processing equipment at customer sites across France, with a focus on Brittany.
• Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective work on both mechanical and electrical systems.
• Carry out preventive maintenance, rebuilds, and upgrades on machinery.
• Provide technical support and customer training during installations and service
• Follow all JBT and customer safety requirements, maintaining the highest standards.
• Document service activities, reporting deficiencies and improvement opportunities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and trust.
• Work flexibly, including weekends, to support customer and business needs.

About You

You are a skilled mechatronics engineer with a balance of mechanical and electrical expertise. You thrive on solving technical challenges in the field, are comfortable traveling to our customers. You’ll bring:

• A mechanical or mechatronics background (education or equivalent experience).
• Experience servicing, maintaining, or commissioning complex machinery or capital equipment.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues in both mechanical and electrical systems.Strong problem-solving skills with a hands‑on approach.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong customer relationships.
• A proactive and independent mindset, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license
• Flexibility to work weekends as required.
