2MNEXT seeks a Construction Engineering Inspector to support ALDOT projects in the Mobile and Montgomery regions. The role inspects construction activities, documents progress, and verifies contractor compliance with plans and ALDOT standards.

The ideal candidate is ALDOT-certified and can work independently in the field, with travel to project sites in southern and central Alabama. Per diem or temporary lodging may be provided for locations outside a reasonable commuting distance, and project

Qualifications

• ALDOT-certified technician or inspector with roadway inspection experience.
• Ability to work independently in the field with accurate documentation.

Responsabilités

• Perform field inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and ALDOT standards.
• Monitor contractor operations and document work activities, labor, equipment, and materials.
• Prepare daily inspector reports detailing work performed and observations.
• Conduct or assist with materials testing such as concrete and soil density testing.
• Operate testing equipment when applicable.
• Review project plans and specifications to verify proper methods.
• Document quantities for pay estimates and maintain records.
• Communicate with contractors, project managers, and agency reps to resolve issues.
