Job summary

Terry Soot Management Group (TSMG) is conducting a field data collection project across EU streets to capture imagery for mapping. The role involves driving, operating on-vehicle 360 cameras, and ensuring high-quality data through careful observation and reporting.

The ideal candidate is reliable, familiar with local traffic patterns, and comfortable with a 40-hour work week; weekends may be required due to weather and project needs.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver Licence and clean driving record.
• Ability to install cameras on the roof of a vehicle (6 kg, 1 m height).
• Willing to work Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day; weekends possible.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Tech savvy and able to use Gmail, Google Forms, Google Meet and WhatsApp.
• Available for a minimum of 3 months.

Responsibilities

Project objective

The goal of the project is to help collect images of streets, main points of interest and public areas in the EU countries. The project is performed on cars with 360 removable cameras, that are mounted by the driver on top of the vehicle. Cameras image the area around the vehicle and store those images on computers inside the vehicle. Later, this data will be used to enhance one the most popular online maps in the world.

The data collectors will be given specific routes around public streets and areas, specifically targeting commercial districts and historical sites. Due to poor weather conditions some areas will be visited multiple times in order to collect the best quality of imaging. The project is expected to last from 3 to 6 months and will cover different data collection areas.

The ideal candidate enjoys driving, knows well the area, traffic trends, is highly responsible and reliable.

The schedule expected on the project is Monday-Friday, 8 hours/day 40 hours per week. Due to weather downtime, work on weekends is possible.

Requirements:

• Must have a valid Driver Licence;
• Good driving skills and clean driving record;Good physical condition;
• Must be able to install the cameras on the roof of a vehicle (6 kg in weight and 1 metre in height);
• Private monitored parking space for corporate vehicle would be a plus;
• General car knowledge would be a plus;
• Enjoys driving, within standard business hours;
• Available for a minimum of 3 months;
• Great communication and reporting skills;
• Tech savvy (drivers will use Gmail, Google Forms, Google Meet and WhatsApp);
• High level of responsibility;
