Teciem in Paris is seeking an Expert Software Engineer proficient in C++ and C# to join our Decision Support Team and advance simulation and order generation tools for Sophis Invest on a Windows desktop platform.

Your mission is to design, enhance, and implement features that enable investment objective tracking, exposure control, and hedging actions across market factors.

Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Expert Software Engineer proficient in C++ and C# to join our Decision Support Team and play a pivotal role in empowering investment professionals with advanced simulation and order generation tools, using our flagship Windows-based desktop platform, Sophis Invest.

Your mission will be to improve, enhance, and design functionalities that support:

• The definition, monitoring, and achievement of investment objectives.
• The control of exposures and implementation of hedging actions across various market risk factors.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software components using C++, C++/CLI, and C#.
• Enhance our portfolio management system and front-office operational components.
• Develop robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions across the application stack, from data persistence and exposure calculations to server interactions and user-facing features.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues.
• Optimize application performance, with a strong focus on memory management, execution efficiency, and measurable improvements.
• Ensure software quality through best practices, proven design patterns, and automated testing.
• Deliver intuitive and effective user experiences that anticipate operational needs.
• Contribute to technical reviews, share best practices, and support continuous improvement across the team.
• Create and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation.

Job Qualifications

Required

• Extensive professional software development experience with expert-level proficiency in C/C++ and C#.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges.
• Experience working within complex, multi-layered codebases.
• Strong focus on software quality, maintainability, testing, and performance.
• Ability to work autonomously and proactively.
• Curiosity for the financial domain and motivation to contribute within an international team environment.
• Languages: C++ (C++17, C++20), C#
• Database: Oracle SQL
• Platform: Windows-based desktop applications
• English: Professional working proficiency
• French: Minimum B2 (upper-intermediate), with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience with GitHub (source control, Copilot).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• PowerShell scripting.
• Advanced Oracle SQL skills.
• Experience with asynchronous and multi-threaded processing of large-scale datasets.
• Familiarity with DevExpress WinForms controls.
• Experience with WPF/XAML.
• Experience with MFC.
• Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Interest in Generative AI technologies.

Financial Domain Knowledge - Experience or understanding of:

• Order Management Systems (OMS)
• Trade, position, portfolio, and fund management
• Hedging strategies and investment workflows
