Fragrance Evaluator

Position Overview

Reporting to the Creative Fragrance Team Director, you will provide fragrance winners to Sales by managing briefs, evaluating, and selecting successful fragrances according to project priorities. Every discovery you make shapes joyful memories for millions by capturing the hearts of consumers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle briefs independently while managing internal resources according to projects.
  • Set up action plans and timelines for each brief.
  • Establish fragrance directions, organize evaluation sessions, evaluate candidates, and provide feedback to perfumers.
  • Coordinate with other departments on specific needs for briefs (Market Research, Lab, Factory, Q.A.), control checkpoints during the process (cost, norms, stability, base, availability), and ensure timely delivery of samples with support data.
  • Motivate perfumers and explore promising olfactive routes.
  • Contribute to olfactory analysis of new products to identify notes for creative development.
  • Maintain and update the fragrance library quality.
  • Follow best practices and seek efficiency improvements.
  • Anticipate market tastes and collaborate with marketing on proactive concept generation.
  • Write olfactory summaries for regions, markets, and customers for knowledge sharing.
  • Conduct customer presentations and interactions.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification or advanced degree in perfumery with at least 3 years of experience in the fragrance industry.
  • Cross-category evaluation experience is a plus.
  • Good industry and customer knowledge, including naturality aspects.
  • Passion for perfume and olfaction.
  • Excellent communication, diplomacy, curiosity, resilience, creativity, proactive attitude, storytelling, and team spirit.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
