Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government seeks an Equipment Operator II – Grass Cutting to perform roadside vegetation maintenance and operate tractors along roadways and ditches. You will inspect equipment, perform minor maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient daily routes.

Responsibilities include loading supplies, assisting in weather-related operations, and supporting parish-wide events. A Louisiana driver's license is required and annual trainings must be completed.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Ability to operate tractors and cutting equipment safely.
• Familiarity with maintenance checks and basic repairs.

Responsabilités

• Operate tractors and cutting equipment to maintain roadside vegetation and lateral ditches.
• Perform daily inspections of tractors and trucks; report issues to supervisor.
• Conduct minor maintenance on tractors and blades; report major concerns.
• Plan and execute daily cutting routes; update route status in MGO system.
• Load and prepare supplies and equipment for daily operations.
• Assist coworkers with field challenges and recoveries.
• Relocate tractors to new cutting locations as needed.
• Support other crews during inclement weather or special assignments.
• Participate in monthly maintenance and quarterly reviews; complete annual trainings.
