In this role, you will lead and inspire a distributed team of software engineers building next‑generation infrastructure‑as‑code and automation solutions. You will operate at the intersection of software development, cloud infrastructure, and operations, directly influencing how modern platforms are built and managed at scale. The position combines people leadership with hands‑on technical contribution, offering a strong balance between strategic direction and execution. Accountabilities
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a globally distributed team of Python engineers, ensuring high engagement, performance, and career development.
  • Drive technical excellence by contributing to code, setting engineering standards, and promoting best practices in design, testing, documentation, and performance.
  • Plan, manage, and deliver complex engineering initiatives aligned with business and product goals.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including operations, product, and leadership, to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
  • Advocate for modern, agile software development and DevOps practices across teams.
  • Foster a healthy, inclusive, and collaborative engineering culture while actively participating in the broader leadership community.
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading and developing software engineering teams in a remote or distributed environment.
  • Strong background in Python software development, with hands‑on experience in automation and DevOps‑oriented workflows.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, Linux systems, and infrastructure operations.
  • Experience with modern infrastructure technologies such as Kubernetes and/or OpenStack.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A people‑first mindset, with a passion for coaching, mentoring, and continuous learning.
  • Bonus points for experience with large‑scale, multi‑cloud environments, operations‑focused roles, or additional languages such as Go.
