Job summary

Inria, the French national research institute for the digital sciences, seeks a skilled researcher to design a methodology and an open-source toolkit to collect, store and process HPC/AI traces with a focus on energy consumption and resource usage. You will instrument HPC executions and deliver performance dashboards while collaborating with European and Latin American HPC centres.

• Not afraid of low-level programming and instrumenting HPC systems.
• Willingness to learn whatever new skills become necessary for the project.
• Interest in research, and in working with a diverse international team.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a methodology and open-source toolkit to collect, store and process HPC/AI traces, focusing on energy consumption and resource utilization.
• Instrument executions of other use cases and provide performance and energy dashboards.
• Collaborate with team leads and system administrators across European and Latin American HPC centres.
• Develop deployment scripts and dashboards to accompany the use cases.
• Produce a methodology guide and curate a public repository of anonymized traces.
