J.P. Morgan in Paris seeks a Wholesale Credit Risk EMEA Associate within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications team to assess and manage credit risk for a broad client base across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

You will work with partners in corporate banking, markets and product teams to support leveraged, investment grade and VC-backed clients. You will shape credit decisions through rigorous due diligence, thoughtful structuring and clear communication of risk, while coaching

Qualifications

• Strong credit judgement and risk discipline.
• Experience with transaction structures and core banking products.
• Clear written and verbal communication, ability to synthesize complex information.
• Ability to build credibility with stakeholders.
• Experience coaching junior colleagues.
• Self-starter with multiple priorities and adaptability.
• Experience in credit risk or leveraged finance underwriting.
• Solid cash flow modelling and financial analysis skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead due diligence, credit analysis, and financial modelling for credit counterparties.
• Drive the preparation of credit approval memos with recommendations on structure, risk appetite and risk grading.
• Build financial models and challenge modelling assumptions with product partners.
• Develop downside scenarios and articulate modelling conclusions clearly.
• Partner across lending, derivatives, trade finance, and treasury products.
• Support negotiation of facility documentation to identify and mitigate risks.
• Apply risk management policies and interact with regulators and auditors.
• Manage ongoing portfolio monitoring including risk ratings and sector trends.
• Coach and develop junior colleagues.
