Job summary

Tenneco is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join the EMEA Tax Team. The role will coordinate tax matters across France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Sweden and the United Kingdom, focusing on corporate income tax compliance, indirect taxes, audits, and advisory support.

The role requires strong technical tax knowledge, project management, and the ability to operate in a complex multinational environment, collaborating with local finance teams and external advisors.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in taxation or equivalent required or preferred.
• 5+ years of corporate tax experience in multinational or Big Four environment.
• Strong knowledge of corporate income tax and European tax systems; experience in France/Italy/Spain/Portugal/UK/Scandinavia is a plus.
• Experience in tax compliance, audits, advisory projects and with external advisors or authorities.
• Understanding of OECD guidelines and transfer pricing concepts.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate corporate income tax and indirect taxes (VAT) for European entities.
• Collaborate with local tax advisors and external consultants to ensure high-quality support.
• Provide tax advisory support for business transactions, restructurings, cross-border initiatives.
• Develop tax strategies to optimize position and cash flow while ensuring compliance.
• Manage tax audits and inquiries in collaboration with local teams and auditors.
• Work with Finance, Legal, Sales, and Operations to integrate tax considerations into decisions.
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on operations and reporting.
• Conduct tax research and provide clear recommendations on risks and opportunities.
