Quobly, a deep tech company in the Grenoble area, seeks an Embedded & Electronics Engineer to advance quantum computer control electronics. You will develop an embedded software stack on Linux for dedicated boards and HDL IP on FPGA, while shaping HW architecture and testbeds.

Strong skills in FPGA, VHDL/Verilog, and C/C++ or Rust are expected. Join a transparent, autonomous team that values collaboration and hands-on work with state-of-the-art quantum hardware.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in FPGA programming (VHDL/Verilog), ideally on Zynq (AMD) platform.
  • Embedded Linux kernel drivers development (C/C++ or Rust) on ARM-based platforms (Yocto/Peta Linux).
  • Experience with RF design and broadband DAC/ADC.
  • Knowledge of high bandwidth/low latency protocols for intra/inter-FPGA communication.

Quobly, a deep tech company based in the Grenoble area, is developing a new generation of silicon-based quantum microprocessors. To support our ambition, we are looking for a Embedded & Electronics Engineer.

Technical Challenges

As Embedded Software Developper you participate to the development of Quobly’s Quantum computer control electronics.

  • You will contribute to the development of the embedded software stack (Linux) running on dedicated control electronics boards.
  • You will contribute to the development of the HDL IP (sequencer, DAC/ADC/IO HDL controlers) running on the control board FPGA.
  • You will work on the control electronics system HW architecture evolution (SOM selection, inter FPGA communication, backplane selection…)
  • You will contribute to the development of the automated testbed for the control electronics qualification and validation.
  • Collaborate with talented people, in a culture of transparency and autonomy.
  • Work hand in hand with members of our technical teams.
  • You have a strong background in one or all of the following topics:
  • FPGA programming (VHDL/ Verilog), ideally on Zynq (AMD) platform.
  • embedded linux kernel drivers development (C/C++ or Rust) on ARM based platforms (Yocto/Peta Linux)
  • Rf Design and broadband DAC/ADC
  • You have knowledge in high bandwidth/low latency protocols for intra and inter FPGA communication.
  • You master collaborative software development practices and tools (git, continuous integration, unit testing, bug tracking,…)
  • You are Confident in using lab instruments (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, etc.) to validate instrument behaviors.
