Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. is seeking Embedded Control Strats in Paris to design, implement, and maintain controls across fast-paced trading and quoting platforms.

You will document controls, collaborate with multiple teams to translate requirements into practical solutions, and support regulator inquiries and incident management. The role requires a strong CS or quantitative background, knowledge of European market structure, and proficiency in Python, Java or C++.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electronic/algorithmic or equity derivatives trading systems and controls.
• Strong academic background in CS or a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering.
• Knowledge of European market structure including Regulated Markets, MTFs and Systematic internalisers, or equity derivatives pricing & risk management.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java or C++.
• Ability to communicate clearly and lead conversations on technical topics.
• Experience in trading, development, testing, operations, audit, compliance, control design or risk frameworks.

Responsabilités

• Designing, developing and maintaining controls for cutting-edge trading and quoting platforms.
• Documenting trading controls and activities for internal and external consumers.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into actionable solutions.
• Responding to regulator and control function requests across the firm; may involve interaction with internal/external parties.
• Managing work to address follow-ups to production incidents and other operational risk events.
• Communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly.
