Job summary

ALTEN is seeking a high-voltage electrical systems engineer to join its energy and nuclear sector in Paris. You will design HV/MV/LV systems, review technical documents, oversee on-site installation, and develop testing and maintenance procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a Bac+5 engineering degree, has experience in safety-critical environments, and is proficient in English and French, with a keen interest in nuclear safety and the fuel cycle.

Qualifications

• Degree from an engineering school or Master’s level, with relevance to electrical systems.
• Experience in a similar role, ideally in an agile environment.
• Strong interest in technical aspects of HV electrical systems and nuclear safety.

Responsibilities

• Design HV, MV, and LV systems (electrical schematics, distribution architecture, control systems).
• Review documents, plans, and technical schematics for accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee on-site implementation at the client’s site and coordinate installation activities.
• Develop testing and maintenance procedures for equipment and electronic components.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site installation of HV, MV, and LV systems and equipment.
• Analyze client requirements to determine costs, capacity, and specifications.

Job description

As part of national and international projects, you will be involved in the design and development of high-voltage (HV) electrical systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing HV, medium-voltage (MV), and low-voltage (LV) systems (electrical schematics, distribution architecture, control systems)
• Reviewing documents, plans, and technical schematics
• Overseeing the implementation on the client’s site
• Developing testing and maintenance procedures for equipment and electronic components
• Coordinating and supervising the on-site installation of HV, MV, and LV systems and equipment
• Analyzing client requirements to determine costs, capacity, and specifications

Qualifications

You hold a degree from an engineering school or a Master’s degree (Bac +5) and have prior experience in a similar role, ideally in an agile environment. You demonstrate a strong interest in the technical aspects of this field.

• Proficiency in professional English and French
• Understanding of nuclear safety principles and methods, which you apply daily
• Knowledge of the fuel cycle and the functioning of PWRs (pressurized water reactors), including associated risks and challenges
• Familiarity with the nuclear environment and best practices for safety-critical activities (installations, systems, equipment, operations, etc.)
