Sensient Technologies Corporation is seeking a seasoned EHS Manager for the Saint-Ouen l’Aumône site to lead health, safety and environmental initiatives within a global cosmetics ingredients group.

The role focuses on developing policies, driving EHS performance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mentoring site teams to foster a culture of safety and sustainability for our colleagues and products.

Qualifications

• Masters level education in engineering or scientific field.
• Proven, strong and extensive EHS work experience in an industrial environment, ideally chemical industry.
• Full command of French, plus business fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of Labour and Environmental Codes/regulations.
• Clear preference for fieldwork and aptitude for coaching colleagues.
• Strong interpersonal/leadership skills to interact with multiple stakeholders.
• Well-organized with strong analytical and synthesis skills.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain policies and procedures for Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental management systems.
• Drive EHS performance using relevant indicators and communicate on trends.
• Organize reporting of incidents, accidents, and non-conformities, coordinate investigations, and communicate progress of corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and act as point of contact for authorities.
• Provide EHS expertise for capital projects and other improvement projects.
• Influence and support on-site inter-disciplinary departments in making EHS decisions.

You understand the broad nature of EHS challenges, are used to bringing up solutions and convincing other departments to follow your guidance. This makes youtheEHS expert for us. You love to influence the quality and safety of our colleagues and products, and you will create a sustainable environment for our common future.

You will be part of a site employing approximately 160 people dedicated to the design, manufacture, storage and distribution of chemical products for the cosmetics market; the site is subject to ICPE authorization and has been certified ISO 14001 since 2016.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain the policies and procedures for the Occupational Health and Safety as well as the Environmental management systems
• Drive EHS performance using relevant indicators and communicate on trends
• Organize the reporting of incidents, accidents and non-conformities, coordinate investigations, and communicate the progress status of corrective actions, while proactively proposing solutions
• Ensure the compliance of activities with applicable regulations and the prefectural order and act as the point of contact for the authorities
• Provide EHS expertise for capital projects and other improvement projects
• Influence and support the inter-disciplinary departments on-site in making the right EHS decisions

What you’ll bring:

• Ideally a Masters’ degree in an engineering or scientific field
• Proven, strong and extensive EHS work experience gained in an industrial environment, ideally within the chemical industry
• Full command of French, plus business fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Knowledge of regulations (Labor Code, Environmental Code)
• A clear preference for fieldwork and aptitude for coaching and mentoring colleagues
• Strong interpersonal / leadership skills to interact with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic environment
• Well-organized with strong analytical and synthesis skills
