Yahoo Finance is seeking an Editor, Content Engagement to shape daily presentation and performance of its journalism across desktop, mobile, and app surfaces. You’ll own real-time programming decisions, optimize stories, and draft high-impact alerts and headlines.

The role requires strong news judgment, sharp presentation instincts, and comfort with AI-augmented workflows. A consistent weekend schedule is expected, with flexible hybrid work options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as an editor in a media organization with digital/newsroom experience.
• Strong news judgment and real-time framing decisions in fast-moving news.
• Experience with real-time analytics tools to monitor performance.
• Professional headline writing, curation, copy editing, and SEO skills.
• Genuine interest in finance news and its impact on users and investors.
• Ability to package journalism for clicks, engagement, and trust.
• Experience using generative AI for prompt engineering and brainstorming.
• Human-in-the-loop governance to ensure brand voice and accuracy.

Responsabilités

• Program Yahoo Finance desktop, mobile, and app experiences with focus on breaking news and markets.
• Utilize AI tools to brainstorm, draft, and iterate on headlines and alerts at scale.
• Optimize story placement, headlines, thumbnails, and recirculation for engagement.
• Leverage AI-assisted visual tools to iterate thumbnails and assets in real time.
• Write, edit, and send mobile alerts with clear, urgent language.
• Use analytics platforms to inform decisions and share performance insights.
• Contribute to a fast, test-and-learn culture with AI-augmented workflows and experimentation.
• Partner with editors, reporters, video, social, product, and analytics teams.
• Work with video teams to surface compelling content across Yahoo Finance platforms.
• Evaluate and program high volumes of syndicated content with editorial judgment.
