A leading industrial firm located in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is seeking a DT Site Lead to manage IT operations and drive digital transformations. You will collaborate with plant leadership to implement digital strategies and ensure compliance with standards. The ideal candidate will possess leadership skills, a solid understanding of project management, and significant experience in IT management. Candidates must be fluent in both French and English and hold a bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent qualification.
As an DT Site Lead at Carrier, you are part of the IT Operations Center of Excellence (CoE) for factories, which leads, manages, and executes all transformation projects and productivity initiatives. You play a key role in digital transformations, which will include continuous improvements, deployments of the Digital Factory CoE, and industry-specific transformations aligned with Industry 4.0.
To achieve this, you collaborate with plant and corporate leadership as well as other IT CoEs to identify plant priorities, plan, and deliver technology projects or initiatives for the local site in accordance with the Digital Factory Operations strategy and the overall digital transformation roadmap.
Partner with the factory manager and leadership team to develop a digital strategy for the site supporting productivity, delivery, quality, and safety objectives.
Engage with Lean teams to drive continuous improvement in the factory.
Gain knowledge of Carrier global solutions & identify opportunities for these solutions.
Build / Support business cases to secure funding & have clarity regarding value opportunity.
Manage Digital Programs and projects.
Validate alignment with site objectives and global DT priorities.
Build a business case including benefits, costs, and resource requirements.
Review with the governance board and global DT team for approval.
Integrate the approved project into the site digital roadmap.
Coordinate and execute the site’s digital macro plan and project portfolio.
Ensure timely delivery and measurable impact.
Monitor programs / projects financials.
Assess system lifecycle and plan upgrades or replacements in alignment with global DT strategy.
Verify that new technologies meet cybersecurity, architecture, and integration standards.
Consult global DT / IT teams for approval before deployment.
Ensure annual BIA.
Ensure / monitor annual DRP testing for critical applications.
Maintain documentation for audits (internal and external) and compliance checks.
Requirements gathering, installation, purchasing, preventive maintenance, and disposal of shopfloor and office equipment (PCs, printers, scanners, network devices).
Act as main point of contact for IT Severity 1 incidents providing local coordination and execution to ensure business continuity.
Escalating a P1 Incident.
Classify impact (local vs. global) and urgency.
Engage IT site support; if unresolved, escalate to corporate IT or global DT operations.
Document incident details, impact, and work with MIM team for actions for future reference.
Manage DT purchasing.
Establish DT budget on annual basis.
Monitor DT actuals & forecasts on monthly basis.
Report on monthly basis results and progress to site leadership and DT Leads.
Drive adoption, training, and cultural change to embed digital practices across the plant.
Develop and empower SME’s for critical site applications.
Real experience of matrix organization.
Real experience of working with global partners.
Project management skills with tools like Asana and Passport methodology.
Management of projects / requests portfolio with tools like JIRA.
Knowledge of industry solutions (SAP / JDE ERP, MES, supplier portal, configuration, industrial connectivity & integration, IA).
Financials knowledge and skills (opex, capex, budget, forecasts).
Understanding of IT Service Management and ITIL standards with tools like ServiceNow.
Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills.
Strong analytical skills: ability to perform complex system analysis and draw conclusions by relating information from different sources, including root-cause analysis and issue resolution.
Ability to communicate highly technical information in an understandable manner to non-technical audiences through writing and presentations.
Experience dealing with competing priorities and juggling multiple projects in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment while meeting project objectives in a timely manner using standard project management methodologies (agility).
Highly self‑motivated, driven work ethic, keen attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
Must be able to influence people and motivate individuals to meet organizational objectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Fluent spoken and written in French and English is mandatory.
Previous experience managing IT team that encompass application, infrastructure and compliance area.
