Proton seeks a Director of Engineering to drive technical strategy and execution for one of our products. You will lead a team of engineers, collaborate with product managers, and scale customer-facing applications across mobile, desktop, and backend platforms for millions of users.

You will guide architecture, influence DevSecOps, and mentor the next generation of engineering leaders while championing an inclusive culture and open source collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience in software engineering in progressively complex roles.
• Experience directly leading and managing engineers.
• Demonstrable experience as a manager of managers.
• History of collaboration with senior leaders in engineering and product.
• Great empathy and collaboration skills with resilience.
• Curious, growth-oriented mindset.
• Hands-on software engineer creating well-crafted systems.
• Mobile-first background preferred.
• Experience leading DevOps and SRE initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Set technical direction and vision for one of Proton's Products.
• Lead technical design and platform discussions.
• Drive DevSecOps practices to improve lead times and quality.
• Ensure timely delivery of scalable, high-quality user experiences.
• Develop processes and motivate the team for high velocity.
• Mentor and develop engineering leaders within the team.
• Lead hiring and organizational structuring to raise the bar.
• Build relationships with senior leaders to align platform strategy.
• Contribute to Proton’s tech and open source communities.
• Foster an inclusive and diverse team environment.
