Doctolib is seeking a Director of Developer Experience in Paris to lead the AI Developer Experience team and own CI/CD/Developer Experience. You will oversee testing, feedback, and productivity metrics across multiple services, partnering with Product Engineering and Product Management to drive adoption.

The opportunity

Founded in 2013, Doctolib is Europe's leading AI and digital health company, serving 520,000 health professionals and 90 million people. We are building a new way to build software: agents doing the grunt work of writing, testing, reviewing and merging code, with engineers moving into a control-tower role to monitor and intervene.

Your mission: build the tooling and workflows that let AI agents and the engineers who work alongside them test, review, ship and monitor code reliably, so Doctolib can multiply its engineering output while keeping quality and control.

The role

We're looking for a Director of Developer Experience to lead our new AI Developer Experience team, reporting to the VP Platform Engineering. You will also own the existing CI and Developer Experience scope.

Doctolib is moving AI adoption from a temporary SWAT team to a permanent capability. The current team includes two Product Managers and two engineers, with more people joining through internal transfers and hiring.

Your team will own:

• The agent-native testing and feedback infrastructure that lets agents know, within their own workflow, whether what they built is correct.


• CI/CD and build systems for the monolith and satellite services, elevated from a CI-run team into an efficient agent-testing capability.


• Developer productivity measurement in the AI era DORA, autonomous change rate and complementary indicators.


• The inner-loop experience: local and remote environments, onboarding, editor integration and sandboxing.

Your impact

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Build the tools and workflows that allow agents to write, test, review and merge code, including evaluation, security checks and controls — giving agents a fast, reliable feedback loop on whether what they build is correct.


• Own testing and feedback for the monolith and satellite services, elevating the current CI setup from a CI-run team into an efficient agent-testing capability.


• Own developer productivity measurement in the context of AI —DORA, autonomous change rate and complementary indicators —andmake it visible and actionable to feature teams.


• Lead the inner-loop experience: local and remote environments, onboarding, editor integration and sandboxing.


• Build and organise the team, developing agentic skills internally where needed, as AI adoption shifts from a temporary SWAT team to a permanent one.


• Partnerwith Product EngineeringandProductManagement to understand internal users and drive adoption.

Your team

Reportingtothe VPPlatform Engineering, MikeAidane, you'll join the Platform Engineering leadership team alongside directors and senior EMs for Application Platform, DataServices and Platform Services. You willlead the new AI Developer Experience team. You'll partner closelywith Product Engineering, Product Management, Release Engineering, Quality Engineering, Automation Platform, Infrastructure Platform, SRE, FinOps, Security, Privacy and Compliance, and engineering teams acrossFranceandGermany.

Your profile

You have led engineering organisations through large‑scale Developer Experience transformations and know what it takes to ship great tooling fast, durably, and without sacrificing quality. You thinkin systemstechnical and organisational andareas comfortable settingarchitecture direction asyouaremakinga hard technical call.

Core qualifications:

• You have led Developer Experience, Developer Productivity, Developer Infrastructure or Build/CI organisations serving300+ engineers. You have demonstrated measurable change in how engineers work, with evidence of adoption, productivity outcomes and organisational or operating‑model change.


• You havedeep technical credibility across CI/CD, build and test infrastructure, monorepo build graphs, test selection, caching, merge queues and flake management. You can guide architecture and trade‑offs while remaining credible with Staff Engineers and strong EMs.


• You have 5+years of experience as a manager of managers: hiring, growing and levelling engineering managers and staff‑plus ICs.


• You are comfortable settingyourown success metrics and being held to them, withstrong written communication and structured thinking.


• You are fluent in English.

Bonus points for:

• Recent exposure to AI‑assisted or agentic engineering transformation, including evaluation, security, guardrails, adoption and productivity measurement. Several yearsofAI Developer Experience leadership are not expected —the relevant signal is strong large‑scale DevEx experience combined with recent AI transformation exposure.


• Experience with large legacy codebases or monoliths, or in a regulated or high‑trust environment such as healthcare. You treat constraints as design inputs, not blockers.


• Having led multi‑country, distributed engineering organisations.
