Job summary

ALTEN Sophia Antipolis is seeking a Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) / DevOps to help accelerate the reliable delivery of applications. You will design and implement standardized automation to provision, build, and deploy managed services, aiming to meet SLAs for our customers.

You will work with software developers, system engineers, project managers and DBAs to build tools, automate processes, and improve capacity planning, incident management and release management across end-to-end

Qualifications

• Fluency in English required.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Java, J2EE, and C++.
• Knowledge of SOA and OO programming.

Job Description

The goal of a Service Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps will be to accelerate Application teams’ abilityto reliably and consistently deliver applications by developing standardized automation to control, build, and deploy managed services.

The main responsibility is to participate in the successful delivery of the end to end services with agreed SLAs to our customers by leveraging, improving, designing and implementing services that automate application provisioning.

You will

• participate to the building of tools and processes to support the infrastructure.


• leverage scripting to build required automation and tools on an ad-hoc basis.


• actively interface with software developers, system engineers, project management and database administrators on projects.

Other responsibilities include ongoing issues such as capacity planning, change management, problem management, incident management, release management and performance improvement. You’ll troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

Qualifications

• Great problem-solving skills with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems


• Java, J2EE, C++ and object-oriented development


• Understand Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions implementation with object-oriented programming language
