SFEIR Lille is seeking an experienced Java Software Engineer to join our Lille team. The role combines engineering excellence with hands-on coding in hybrid work mode, including 2-3 days remote per week.

You will work on cloud-native architectures, microservices, and scalable Java applications using Spring Boot, Quarkus, and Kubernetes, while contributing to best practices and technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Candidates should demonstrate strong Java proficiency and systems design skills.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and microservices is required.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and modern Java frameworks is expected.

Position Overview

Engineering – Software (Java). Location: Lille, France. Employment type: CDI. Work arrangement: Hybrid with 2‑3 days remote per week.

Responsibilities

• Master Java and its ecosystem as a professional.
• Develop and maintain applications using Spring Boot, Quarkus, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native architectures.
• Design microservices, implement hexagonal architecture, and focus on performance and scalability.
• Experiment, document, and share best practices.

Projects

• Develop robust and performant APIs with Quarkus on Google Cloud.
• Design microservices architectures that can handle large loads.
• Migrate legacy applications to cloud‑native solutions.
• Integrate Java solutions within complex client ecosystems.

Compensation

Starting salary of €44,000 gross per year for an experienced data engineer, with annual salary reviews.
